We have 2 marked 'Disabled' parking bays close to the main entrance
Our main entrance door is 813mm wide and opens outwards. Unfortunately, the door is not tall enough to allow an auto opener to be fitted, however, if you find the door difficult please ring the doorbell and someone will come to help you.
Our building is on two floors with no lift access. The building is accessible at ground floor level for wheelchair users and patients with other disabilities. For patients who cannot use the stairs, we can make arrangements for you to be seen in a ground floor consulting room. If you need to be seen downstairs, please let us know when booking your appointment.
We have a patient toilet on the 1st floor and on the Ground floor. The Ground floor toilet is useable for patients in smaller wheelchairs but the larger powered chairs can not fit through the door. The minimum aperture space with the door open is 31 Inches. We are planning to widen the doorway and re-arrange the sanitary ware to make the room easier to use for wheelchair bound patients. However, due to the location of the room and the aperture through the 3ft thick stone wall, it may not be possible to widen the gap sufficiently to allow a large motorised chair to pass through.
